Amina Aziz


With over Twenty years of experience in the corporate/financial sector(s) and securities market, she is currently the Head of the Lending and Private Fund Department at SECP, the regulatory authority of Pakistan. In her current portfolio, she pursues development and oversight of the non-bank lending sector specifically microfinance, and digital lending through policy interventions. Her portfolio also entails her policy and promotion of private equity and venture capital funds. She is also the Convenor of the Regulatory Sandbox Committee, a cross-functional team that facilitates the testing and implementation of innovative financial products and services in a controlled environment. She has a strong background in adjudication, having served as the Director of Adjudication at SECP for three and a half years, where she handled complex cases involving market manipulation, insider trading, and fraud. Her extensive skills in law and governance and is passionate about fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and trust in the financial sector and capital markets.
