Maj. Gen. (Retd) Dr. Zahir Shah

Projector Director CPEC at China Pakistan Economic Corridor Secretariat, Ministry of Planning, Development & Reform, Islamabad

Dr Zahir Shah is the Projector Director/Coordinator CPEC at the China Pakistan Economic Corridor Secretariat, at Ministry of Planning, Development & Reform, Islamabad.  He act as the focal person to coordinate the  CPEC activities as the Planning Commission.

He has BS in civil engineering from Military College of Engineering, Risalpur, Pakistan,   MS from Stanford University and Ph D  from MSU, USA. Besides he holds MS in Defence & Strategic Studies from NDU Islamabad.

Dr Zahir Shah has diverse experience in the Pakistan Corps of Engineers.  He has served on faculty in NUST, Dean College of Civil Engineering and  Pro Rector NUST, Islamabad. He has project management experience of Lyari Expressway project, Makran coastal highway and has directed development works in FATA and Malakand Division. He retired as Major General . He has also served as   Surveyor General of Pakistan.

Presently he is  in the CPEC Secretariat at Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform since July 2014.
