Eligibility Criteria

  • Who Can Participate?
    • Chartered Accountants
    • Members of other professional bodies
    • Finance professionals with minimum 3 years of experience (including articleship)
  • Team Structure:
    Each team will consist of three members with at least 1 ICAP member. In the absence of an ICAP member, the team must have a Fellow Member of ICAP as their coach or mentor for the competition.
  • Team Limits:
    Each organization can nominate a maximum of two teams.

ROUND 1: QUALIFYING ROUND



Part A. Computer-Based Assessment (Duration: 2 Hours)

Questions will consist of a blend of MCQs, and descriptive questions from the following categories:

a. Accounting concepts and applications
b. Business financial management
c. Compliance and governance
d. ESG and Technology
e. Economy

Part B. QuickSim (Duration: 1 Hour)

The QuickSim segment will allow participants to assess their business acumen. The top teams will then advance to the Simulation and Assessment Round scheduled on December 14, 2024, by carrying forward their scores.

Part A. Simulation (Duration: 4 Hours)



Part B. Behavioral Assessment

The interactive activity is planned to provide teams with the opportunity to showcase their skills while working towards achieving a common goal. This round is designed to assess a range of behavioral competencies, ensuring a well-rounded evaluation of each team’s abilities.

Based on the cumulative score, the top 6 teams will advance to Grand Finale.

Grand Finale

Part A: Board Room - Unwind the Mind

  • • Each qualifying team will be required to present a solution to a business case or scenario.
  • • Time allotted for presenting the solution and convincing the jury will be 8 minutes followed by a two-minute Q/A session by the jury.
  • • Presentation will be evaluated by ICAP nominated panel of judges as well as the audience based on pre-defined criteria

Part B: 100-seconds

  • • An ICAP nominated facilitator/adjudicator will conduct this round.
  • • Each team will have 100-seconds to answer maximum number of questions possible.
  • • Negative marking will apply for each wrong answer.

Part C: Spin the Wheel

  • • An ICAP nominated facilitator/adjudicator will conduct this round.
  • • Teams will have 6 categories to choose the questions from, and these categories are emancipated from the syllabus.
  • • In this round, each team will have 3 turns to choose a category from.
  • • Once the spin stops, participants will have 10 seconds to choose risk as High or Low. Each team will have 45 seconds to respond and lock the selected answer.
  • • Risk in score will be associated with each category.
