On December 18, 2025, ICAP signed a landmark Recognition Agreement with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) — one of the world’s most prestigious professional accountancy bodies. This agreement firmly positions ICAP on the global stage and is a strong endorsement of the quality, rigor, and international credibility of ICAP’s education, examination, and training framework.
Under this historic arrangement, appropriately qualified ICAP members (who have qualified under the ICAP syllabus introduced from 2021) will be eligible to apply for ICAEW membership by completing only one examination — the ICAEW Strategic Case Study — along with the ICAEW Ethics Learning Programme (or an accepted equivalent). ICAEW will grant credit for all Certificate and Professional Level papers, as well as two Advanced Level papers, and will also recognize relevant practical training and professional development requirements.
This milestone is not merely an institutional success; it significantly enhances global mobility, international career pathways, and professional recognition, reaffirming that an ICAP qualification stands shoulder to shoulder with leading global accountancy credentials.
