According to Bye-Law 11(1) of the Chartered Accountants Bye-Laws, 1983 the Council of the Institute hereby notifies that the next election of the Council (17th) and the Regional Committees (i.e. Northern and Southern) will be held on September 11, 2021.
As per Bye-Law 12 of the Chartered Accountants Bye-Laws, 1983, the members whose names would be appearing on the ‘Register of Members’ at the close of business on May 11, 2021, will be eligible to cast their votes in the election.
Further, the residential address will be used to determine the zone and constituency of the eligible voters. Therefore, all members are requested to communicate to Institute about any change in their residential address by May 25, 2021. In this regard, you can update your particulars directly at our website by following the link https://member.icap.org.pk/ or complete the attached form and send it to the Institute’s Head Office through courier or email at membership@icap.org.pk.
We would also like to inform members regarding the change in Bye-Law 25. By default, a member is entitled to vote in person (or by post in cities where election stations are not formed). In previous elections, the Electronic Form of Voting (E-Voting) was only available to eligible overseas members. However, as per the amendments in the Bye-law 25, all eligible voters including local voters have the option to opt for the E-Voting. Members who wish to opt for the e-voting option are required to inform the Election Committee about their decision by August 02, 2021.
Members are advised to check their emails on a frequent basis for the Election 2021 updates.
