Eligibility Criteria

Entry Path

Students securing minimum 60% marks in Intermediate (HSSC) or equivalent qualification recognized by IBCC

 

Eligible for Registration and will be required to appear in Pre-Requisite Competencies (PRC) stage. Exemptions from PRC papers are also available, subject to fulfilment of the criteria prescribed by ICAP.

Students passing at least three A-Level subjects with aggregate minimum 60% equivalence

Students holding a Non-relevant Associate Degree (14 years of education) with minimum 45% aggregate marks or equivalent grades recognized by HEC

Students securing minimum 50% but less than 60% marks in HSSC / A-Level or equivalent qualification recognized by IBCC

Required to pass the Qualifying Assessment Test (QAT) to become eligible for Registration.

Relevant Associate degree (14 Years of education) with minimum 45% aggregate marks or equivalent grades recognized by HEC

Relevant Associate degree Specification:
(a) Minimum 12 credit hours in Accounting Subjects (e.g., Accounting, Financial Accounting and Reporting, Cost/Management Accounting,

Financial Management, Tax, Audit and Assurance).
(b) Minimum 12 credit hours in Business Subjects (e.g., Business Writing, Quantitative Methods, Economics, Business, Business/Company Law,

Management, IT).

Eligible for Registration and exemption from PRC stage and direct entry to the Certificate in Accounting and Finance (CAF) stage.

Non-relevant Four-year local or foreign Degree (16 years education) recognized by HEC

Eligible for Registration and direct entry to the Graduate Conversion Course (GCC). Exemption from GCC-1 is available subject to fulfilment of the criteria prescribed by ICAP.

Relevant Four-year local or foreign Degree (16 years education) recognized by HEC

Relevant 16-year Degree Specification:
(a) A minimum of 21 credit hours in areas such as Accounting, Financial Accounting and Reporting, Cost/Management Accounting, Financial Management, Tax, Audit, and Assurance, etc.

(b)  A minimum of 21 credit hours in subjects such as Business Writing, Quantitative Methods, Economics, Business, Business/Company Law, Management, Information Technology, etc.

Eligible for Registration with options to either opt for direct entry to CAF stage or GCC. However, the decision to opt for CAF or GCC will be irrevocable.

Note: 

(a) Exemptions from certain CAF papers are available, subject to fulfilment of the criteria prescribed by ICAP.
(b)Exemption from GCC-1 is available subject to fulfilment of the criteria prescribed by ICAP.

Relevant Four-year Degree (16 years education) from Relevant Degree Awarding Institutes (RDAIs) and Specified Degree Awarding Institutes (SDAIs)

Eligible for Registration with options to either opt for direct entry to CAF stage or GCC. However, the decision to opt for CAF or GCC will be irrevocable.

Professional Accountancy qualifications PIPFA, ICMAP, ACCA and CIMA (UK)

Eligible for Registration and direct entry in CAF stage.

Exemptions from certain CAF paper(s) are also available, subject to fulfilment of the criteria prescribed by ICAP.
